|The Lion King character|
|First appearance||The Lion King|
|Mohatu and Unknown
Uru is the mate of Ahadi, the mother of Mufasa and Scar, the grandmother of Simba and great-grandmother of Kopa, Kiara and Kion.
Uru actually means the "suit of diamonds" (as in playing cards).
She is a quite sympathetic and nice queen, caring about her kingdom and animals as it is explained in "A Tale of Two Brothers". She doesn't know about how cruel her mate sometimes can be, always thinking that he can be a bit too firm and cold king, but never bad with their subjects.
Physical appearance Edit
She has a dusty orange fur and tan markings in her underbelly. She has a red tail tip and ruby eyes.
In the films Edit
The Lion King Edit
Uru is vaguely mentioned at the beginning of The Lion King when Zazu tells Scar, "Didn't your mother ever tell you not to play your food?"
She is mainly absent from the story "A Tale of Two Brothers" due to her searching for a source of food and water during the drought. She finds a lake at the western edge of the Pride Lands and saves the kingdom.
Uru goes searching for water just like Mohatu did. This could mean she knows the land better because she is native to it.
She has a special scent of.
